Comments From Out Of Town

Don,

Thank you for providing info on running in El Paso. Since I stayed at the Marriot near the airport, the Edgemere route you had on your website was perfect. I was able to put in 9 miles before we went sightseeing. It was very nice and flat compared to my running trail by the Trinity River in Fort Worth. I noticed how cool it was. I felt slight fatigue from the elevation.

I saw a no bicycle sign posted in that neighborhood park and was so elated. In Fort Worth, I do not think we have an area exclusively for walking and running in any of our parks. It was so great not worry about a cyclist whizzing by me.

Instead of running, my husband and I drove the 10 mile route you mentioned on Trans Mountain Road and stopped to eat on the scenic overlook. It was gorgeous. I was tempting not to get my running shoes from the trunk of the car and run part of it, but I knew the elevation would wipe me out. That is a great looking training route for any marathon.
